The first three chapters set down the position vacuum of the AI Stampede age, the pattern of history, the instinct of capital. Chapter 1's alarm ran to the dead end of capital, the collapse of human reproduction, a frozen world. Chapter 2's history ran to the one script the first three industrial revolutions all followed, close to a hundred forty million of the poor down. Chapter 3's turn ran to capital is not evil, it is an instinct doing its job, everyone is a capitalist, rein in capital without destroying it.

Those three chapters together lay out the whole shape of the AI Stampede age. And once you see it clearly, the next question comes on its own. What do we do?

This chapter sets down the direction of that question. Four sections, four positions.

The first sets down the seed posture of the thinking in this book. A position is only a division of labor. No right position and no wrong, no good and no evil, no high and no low, no noble and no base, no first and no last, no above and no below. Every pattern of position across all six volumes of Justice Way grows out of this one seed.

The second sets down the root tool. Use the pen, not the knife. The root reason the fourth industrial revolution can go differently from the first three is that this time there is a small oil lamp, lighting up again, on the ground of the AI Stampede age, the pattern of position the ancestors set down thousands of years ago.

The third sets down the root mission of the whole book. The thing that cannot wait is to adjust the system before the great war. The soft landing. The steady passage. Peace under heaven.

The fourth closes the volume. The way out, all of it, is laid out point by point in Volume VI, Saving People: A Race Against Time Before the Blood Runs.

The root posture of the whole chapter is very plain. This book does not hand anyone a road. It only lights up again, on the ground of the AI Stampede age, the pattern of position the ancestors set down across thousands of years. Even if it lights only a small circle, it is light. What you do once you see it is yours to decide.

Once these four sections are set down, Volume I, Despair, closes whole. You turn to Volume II, on the cultural order, or straight to Volume VI, Saving People. The pattern of position the ancestors set down across thousands of years is waiting there, for every living person who sees it to carry it in their own position.
