Volume VI — The Way Through
Volume Introduction
You are here.
You are the one who pressed that link, fleeing from that fire in Volume I.
First, take a breath. It does not burn people here. It fights the fire here.
Volume I said words to the limit, spoke very heavily, heavily to the point that as you were looking and looking, your heart might have grown cold, grown cold to the point that in the deep of the night a thought popped up—is there no rescue left.
Tiger Lyon is here, and the very first sentence answers you:
There is rescue.
And the thing rescuing you is not some great figure falling from the sky, not which president, which big boss, or which high-and-mighty government office. The things rescuing you are three most solid things.
The first thing is the law. The law of the human world, from antiquity to today, what it protects is the human being. It is you. That machine stealing your rice bowl, no matter how clever, is still only a piece of tool. The law protects the human being, it does not protect the tool. This line has never changed.
The second thing is yourself. You are that single one who fought through odds of one in several hundred million, living to today. You have carried through every single hurdle in your life. You are not waste material; you are a king.
The third thing is everyone. It is you, and thousands upon thousands of people just like you, who are still living, whose eyes are still open. A stone that one person cannot move, with a crowd of people keeping their eyes open and thinking of a way together, carries a chance to be moved.
That fire burned in Volume I is real. Tiger Lyon did not lie to you. But what Volume I showed you is the appearance of this road being walked with eyes covered all the way into the dark.
Walking into the dark is not the only ending.
The first three times humanity encountered machines replacing human beings, they all walked with covered eyes, all waited until hundreds of millions of people fell and enough blood flowed, before turning back to reorganize the institutions. Each time was more miserable than the last; the poor suffered more bitterly each time.
This time is different. This time, you have your eyes open.
This book you are looking at does exactly one thing—illuminates the whole road for you to see, letting you see clearly before it walks into the dark, and then, while the fire has just started burning and has not yet burned to the worst, peacefully, turn this corner.
No bloodshed. No need for another single person to fall.
This is the matter this volume is going to talk about. One sentence—
The things are already enough, enough for everyone to live. What is lacking is not the things, but a new set of institutions that fairly divides the enough things into every single person’s hands.
The old set cannot keep up with the pace anymore, broken by a group of people sitting in the wrong Positions. In this volume, chapter by chapter, Tiger Lyon lays out before you how to restand a set of new, advanced institutions that protect the human being.
How culture stands. How things are divided. To whom power should return. How the law is straightened back up. Finally, how these few things fit together to let human being and human being live life peacefully and securely.
Tiger Lyon is not a savior. Tiger Lyon is only a tiny oil lamp, illuminating a small circle beneath your feet, letting you see where to take the next step. The road has to be walked by yourself; the corner has to be turned by everyone together.
But even if it only illuminates a small circle, in this darkness, it is light.
The fire is out. Sit down, take a breath.
Then open Chapter One. Tiger Lyon is here, accompanying you to walk this road out, step by step.
